My2013 Mazda 6 diesel from new, 90K kms and still runs like a dream, no issues whatsoever. Family friends, same car more mileage, ditto. With too many documented problems on the Mazda diesel, it is best to stay away from one for now. Have gone for the 2.5L turbo petrol and have not look back since. User #746906 11996 posts.
MazdaCX-5 - Engine failure - Alan carolan : Is it fair to pin this on every 2.2 diesel, like this was a 7 year old car, unknown history. Neighbour has had 2.2 for years, a Mazda 6 and now 2018 cx5. Bulletproof reliability. I like the car enough to add em to a short list but these posts add doubt.
Iam thinking of purchasing a five year old Mazda 6 2.2 diesel. I've identified a few for £7000 that have around 70,000 miles on the clock. Would you count these cars as good buys?
